Adrian Varela is 1st violinist in the Philharmonia Orchestra, London, with whom he has performed many times in the world’s greatest concerts halls including, Berlin Philharmonie, Musikverein, Elbphilharmonie, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Disney Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebow, Tonhalle Zurich, Auditoro Madrid, Palau de la Musica Catalana, La Scala Milan, Tokyo Suntory Hall, Sydney Opera House, with the greatest conductors such as Salonen, Nelsons, Bolmstedt, Muti, Thielemann, Dudamel, Rouvali, Maazel and Masur.

He has recorded dozens of films soundtracks for all major studios including Universal, Marvel, 20th Century Studios, Columbia, Sony, Netflix, Disney, Tristar, as well as classical music and games.

Adrian is a former concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra of his native Uruguay, and also held posts as Director of Music at de Montfort University, England, and Conductor and Artistic Director of the Polish National Youth Orchestra POM LYO from 2015.

He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, London, with top honours in Postgraduate Performance and Pedagogy. He holds a Masters degree from the University of London.
His humanist, integrating approach to pedagogy has led him to coach and conduct young musicians in the UK, USA, Poland, Germany, Spain, Japan, and Uruguay.
