Text: The first rehearsal of the whole orchestra took place on Monday, August 21 at 5:00 p.m. ILYO musicians finished their two days long sectional workshopsguided by our amazing tutors, and finally met their conductor – maestro Rune Bergmann. It couldn't be otherwise, the first piece they played as full orchestra was the one of ILYO's offial patron – Witold Lutosławski, namely the famous Concerto for Orchestra.
On Tuesday, August 22, the young musicians were joined by our soloist – the excellent oboist Mateusz Żurawski. For the first time, sheet music from Concerto for oboe and small orchestra in D major by Richard Strauss appeared on the stands.
Tomorrow, August 24, at 19:00, ILYO will play at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. This will be our debut on this prestigious stage, for which we are preparing in the sweat of our brow. We cordially invite all residents of Wrocław to this great event for us and we promise that you will not be disappointed.
