Due to a very large number of applications, we were forced to extend the deadline for announcing the auditions results by a few days. All this is to give the tutors time to thoroughly listen to the recordings of all candidates and evaluate them fairly. Therefore, the results will be announced not on May 22, as originally planned, but on May 26. We would like to thank in advance all the young musicians who sent us their applications for their understanding.

This year's auditions for ILYO are a record breaking in terms of the general number of applications, but also in terms of the number of applications received from foreign nationals. Below we have collected for you some interesting statistics .

• 220 – so many candidates sent us their applications
• 21 – is the number of countries around the world from where we have received the applications this year. For the curious – here is the full list (in random order): Austria, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Finland, Germany, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Canada, South Korea, Hungary, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, Venezuela, United States, China, Croatia.
• 64% of applications were sent to us by women, 34% by men
• 2 – is the number of the leading instruments in terms of the number of applications. Well ahead of all others are the violins and flutes (almost exequo).
