We announce the 11th edition of ILYO!
International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra will meet in 2023 for the 11th time! In the year in which we celebrate the 110th anniversary of the birth of our patron – Witold Lutosławski, our orchestral workshops will take place between August 20 and 25, 2023.
As every year, the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin invites young (18-30 years old) musicians from all over the world to take part in an extraordinary project – the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra. ILYO consists of master classes (instrumental sections), orchestral workshops and a grand final concert with the audience.
This year we have simplified the recruitment rules. There are no longer two stages as in previous editions, but only one, the pieces that young musicians have to record have also changed, and in response to numerous requests from candidates, we are opening recruitment earlier. You can apply to ILYO from March 1 to April 30. The results will be announced on May 15.
ATTENTION: recruitment for brass instruments will open on March 10 and will last till May 10.
